I have said my peace and hopefully it helps just one person, or reassures another who was treated unfairly by this company that it was not you, it's them. I would only work if you were in the construction side, not in the office. I promise you I am not a "disgruntled employee", I am just being honest and would strongly urge you to run for the hills if your temp agency sends you to the company.
I consider myself the luckiest person in the world to have been let go and have found better employment with a company who knows how to run properly.
They use temps by promising them full time permanent employment when they have no intention on hiring on.and even worse, they fire them without notice and give a BS reason as to why, which tarnishes their name with their temp agency they came from. They are so unorganized, yet they act so self important. One would be hard pressed to find someone at the company who has been there a long time, on the office side.
This company is run absolutely ridiculously, HR is a joke. There are many people that have been with the company for over 10 years, so it feels like a family. I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy working at the company. I was able to be project manager on the build out of our new beautiful corporate office, which is a pleasure to walk into every day. The employees also run a Wellness Program and Charity Program that all employees are encouraged to participate in. I was able to complete this certification along with others that opted into the program.
Stronghold worked with UCR Extension to allow, free of tuition, access to all employees to gain a Certificate in Construction Management. I feel that I have grown professionally at the company and that I have been supported by the company to continue my education. Started as a Marketing/Business Development Associate, worked as Executive Assistant, moved to Project Administrator, through to Project Manager and now as a Director of Business Development at the company. I have worked my way through a variety of positions at the company. I have enjoyed working at Stronghold, full-time, for the past 7 years. Stronghold and the team here have been great to me and I see a lot of success for myself and the company in the very near future.
I am allowed the freedom to do my job, and I have the option to always bring a concern to leadership to discuss ways to improve, in fact they welcome it. I don't have a hawkeyed supervisor who is constantly looking over my shoulder. Overall, I am happy working at Stronghold. Be careful basing your opinion on some of the other reviews listed here, because those reviews don't describe how they failed at their job or lied about their competency in the roles in which they were hired. They have functions nearly every month, celebrate everyone's birthdays, have prizes and raffles, company parties, etc. The company is always working towards high employee morale and does everything they can to ensure their employees are happy. It's a forward thinking company with growth opportunities in the various industries it services. It is a family run business and many of the employees they treat like family because they have been here upwards of 10+ years. They don't hand out titles and raises to mediocre employees who expect more than they give. The growth you want is here, you just have to prove yourself. In that time, I have been able to obtain growth by effectively doing the job I was hired to do, excelling at the functions and tasks I am provided, and working with Management and the Executive Team to help bridge the gaps that I saw within the marketing department. I have been with Stronghold for over a year.
